We’re excited to celebrate Joe “JP” Pena as our Q2 Employee of the Quarter! JP brings dedication, skill, and heart to Rudy’s every single day, and we’re proud to spotlight his story.
From Tulare to the Coachella Valley
Though originally from Tulare, California, JP has called the Coachella Valley home for most of his life. A proud graduate of Coachella Valley High School, Class of 1988, JP has built both his career and his family here. He and his wife are happily married with three grown children — Marissa, Jasmine, and Anselmo — whom he calls “a blessing” to their lives.
A Career Built on Curiosity
JP’s path into pest control came from curiosity — a drive to learn and master new skills. Over the years, he’s earned his Branch 2 license and now serves as both a licensed technician and Fleet Manager at Rudy’s.
Beyond pest control, JP brings an incredible range of experience. He’s worked in construction and is skilled in operating everything from forklifts and backhoes to water trucks, street sweepers, and tile equipment — a true hands-on professional.
Why Rudy’s?
For JP, one of the deciding factors in joining Rudy’s was the schedule that values family and rest. Weekends off mean time to focus on what matters most: church, family, and caring for his wife. But what keeps him here is deeper:
“A company that genuinely has an owner, Rudy, who truly cares about customer service and his employees.”
Grateful for Opportunities
JP shares his gratitude for Rudy personally, “for allowing me the opportunity of meeting so many kind and loving people (customers) through his company. So grateful.”
Passions & Goals
When he’s not keeping Rudy’s fleet in top shape or helping customers, JP’s world revolves around faith, family, and his wife. His personal motto reflects his drive and positivity: “Never stop climbing, because once you do it’s all downhill from there.” he says with a chuckle.
Congratulations, JP!
Please join us in congratulating Joe “JP” Pena for his well-deserved recognition as Employee of the Quarter. His professionalism, gratitude, and heart for people are what make Rudy’s more than just a workplace — it’s a family.
