The turkey’s in the oven, the pie is cooling on the counter, and the family is about to walk through the door. You open the pantry to grab the cinnamon and something moves between the bags. Nobody wants that moment, especially with a full house.
The busiest kitchen of the year
More food, more crumbs, and doors opening and closing all day turn your kitchen into an all you can eat buffet. These are the three party crashers we see most often:
Cockroaches. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) says 63% of homes in the U.S. have cockroach allergens, which can trigger coughing, congestion, and asthma attacks, especially in kids.
Ants. One drop of syrup or a plate of pastries left on the table is all it takes for a whole line of them to show up.
Pantry pests. Indian meal moths and grain beetles can come home from the grocery store already inside the packaging. Once they’re in your pantry, they multiply fast and move from one package to the next.

And keep an eye on your decorations: according to an NPMA survey, 10% of Americans have found pests in their holiday decor.
Your checklist before the guests arrive
Store leftovers and desserts in airtight containers. Take the trash out every night. Move your flour, spices, and chocolate into jars with tight lids. And check your boxes of decorations outside before you bring them in.
Enjoy the holidays. We’ll take care of your home.
